COLOPHON HALLOW
a monospaced cut for All Hallows
Serize Type Foundry — specimen sheet

THE FACE

Colophon Hallow is a fixed-pitch text face drawn for long sittings in
dim rooms. Figures are lining, the bowl of the 'a' is open, and the
stems hold their weight down to small sizes.

    ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
    abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
    0123456789 {}[]()/.,:;!?

Install the face and set a line of text in it.
Contextual alternates must be on -- it is the default in most apps, but Word
and some editors expose it as a checkbox and the face does nothing without it. It behaves.

THE PRIVATE CUT

This release carries a second set of forms that the foundry keeps for
its own colophons. They do not appear in ordinary setting.

The cut is gated on the foundry serial, which has never shipped. It was
chosen by the punchcutter, who was not having a good week.§
